2024 Centra Golf Tournament Raises $220,000

Centra Windows and Centra Cares are very pleased to announce that our 2024 Golf Tournament was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our incredible sponsors as well as those who took part in our online auction, we were able to raise $110,000 in support of Ronald McDonald House, with $90,000 go to the BC & Yukon house and $20,000 going to the Alberta house! What’s more, Centra Windows matches these funds to contribute to other worthy causes, meaning the grand total for our 2024 Golf Tournament was $110,000!

Our annual tournament is a great opportunity to support important charities. Our title sponsors for 2024 were TD, Cardinal Glass Industries, and Country Lumber, and they joined many others in participating in a fantastic day of golf and celebration in the sun at Surrey’s stunning Northview Golf & Country Club.

Ronald McDonald House of the BC and Yukon was chosen as the primary recipient this year because Centra’s Employee Owners know just how vital their work is. The House provides a home and comfort for those with sick and injured children who live too far away from the medical care they need, and they truly make a difference in the lives of families going through one of the worst times anyone could experience.

The $90,000 to the BC & Yukon house will help provide 360 nights of comfort for families who have to leave their communities to receive life-saving treatment for their ill or injured child. Beyond covering the costs of basic needs like housing and food, families will also have access to free wellness programs like Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Medical Play, Education and other resources so that they can focus on what matters most – the health of their child.

In 2023 Centra Windows and Centra Cares undertook a home renovation for a very special child, Jake Davis, who cannot be exposed to UV radiation. We provided high-performance windows that block these rays and allow him to live a safer, more normal life. Ashley Davis, Jake’s mother, was kind enough to attend our tournament this year, speak about her experience, and encourage attendees to support Roland McDonald House – which her own family is going to have to use in future.
