Coquitlam Mother Wins Home Renovation Giveaway

Frances Rees & her Daughter Kim Muir both lost their husbands over the past few years, leaving the special duo to face the many obstacles of life on their own.

Frances took the lead and continues to assist Kim with her three young children. To add to their challenges, their Coquitlam home is nearly 50 years old and in need of new windows. The winters are extremely difficult and the summers are unbearable. The low level of comfort is pushing Frances out of her home, forcing her to move and live elsewhere.

The list of obstacles motivated Kim to submit a nomination for the Centra Cares Home Renovation Giveaway and her story connected with us all. Not only is there a significant need for windows but their story symbolizes perseverance, strength, fear, courage, and determination. After hours of deliberation, we are proud to announce Frances Rees as our 2020 recipient of the Centra Cares Home Renovation Giveaway.
