Meet the Window Geeks: Jagdeep Singh

Meet Jagdeep Singh, P.Eng. PMP CMQ/OE

Jagdeep is the Engineering Manager here at Centra Windows. He has always had a great interest in design and manufacturing. His impressive and varied education has allowed him to pursue a fulfilling career. He got his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Delhi, studied Automation & Robotics at KPU and Project Management at BCIT. Now we’re lucky to have him imparting his knowledge to both our team and our customers.

Jagdeep’s considerable industrial experience made him a perfect fit for Centra. This ranges from areas such as petrochemicals to food and beverage, and of course glass fabrication and window and door manufacturing. He spent a lot of time in construction project management in India before coming to Canada, with 12 years in design and project management and 18 years in manufacturing.

He has four main areas of focus: construction project management, engineering, organizational excellence, and leadership. He has amassed a long list of achievements over the course of his career, including commissioning Pipelines, Petrochemical refinery units & numerous processing plants; leading process optimization and quality for a major glass fabricator, and establishing CAD platforms to align with Engineering Design needs.

Such extensive experience gives Jagdeep a unique perspective and makes him a great problem solver. He has become a vital member of the Centra family, one of our favourite Window Geeks, and has proven himself to be a capable and successful leader. He has been integral to product development and innovation and optimizing our manufacturing processes. He removed bottlenecks and provided engineering design services for multifamily, supply-only, and custom-built projects, as well as establishing lean workflow through the value engineering of resources.

Jagdeep has also offered extensive technical support from presales all the way through to post-installation troubleshooting. He’s someone who knows his stuff. Along with his core belief in Safety and Quality in every aspect of Centra’s business, he has faith in the team around him and understands the importance of active listening and communication. This brings him right in line with the Centra’s FERST values.
