As an Accounting Assistant, you will be an integral part of our accounting team, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and statements. Your responsibilities will include handling accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, collections, and assisting with various accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment while contributing to the financial success of our organization.

Core accountabilities:

• Generate and process invoices, record receipt of funds, and manage accounts receivable reporting and follow-up.
• Handle collections review, including letters, liens, and small claims, while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Process accounts payable invoices, ensure accurate internal controls for invoice approval and payment, and manage vendor relations.
• Support in external compliance reporting and assist in the month-end journal entry process and working paper creation.
• Maintain accurate records, reconcile statements, and resolve inquiries with vendors, ensuring proper documentation and timely payment.

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate of a Diploma or Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail for accurate data entry.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and business acumen.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to learn Centra-custom programs.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to handle diverse personalities with a pleasant demeanor, a sense of humor, and the ability to maintain firm boundaries.
