Carpenter Lead Hand/Supervisor:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Carpenter Lead Hand/Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating construction crews and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. Your role will involve overseeing work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project plans and specifications. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a productive and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works alongside the team performing all carpentry duties, including but not limited to window installation, framing, addressing decay concerns, caulking, insulation placement, installation of interior and exterior trim, and sheathing and papering.
• Effectively manages every project from inception to completion, overseeing all aspects of job site operations, regardless of project size.
• Collaborates closely with the Project Manager or coordinator to guarantee seamless execution of all project milestones.
• Proficiently interprets blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and effectively conveys this information to the team.
• Contributes to the estimation of materials and labor costs essential for project planning.
• Ensures adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborates effectively within their team and across teams as the situation demands.
• Diplomatically communicates with clients in a professional manner when the need arises.
• Assumes a leadership role in maintaining high standards of quality control and safety on site.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years in a lead, foreman, or supervisor role
• 10 years of construction experience
• Competent in preventing and managing on-site injury incidents.
• Red seal certified is considered an asset.
• Ability to reach, analyze and interpret drawings, documents, and procedures.
• Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, MS Project an asset).
