What’s the Job?

We’re hiring a Field Service Glazier to join our Supply Only Service team in Calgary. This role is all about executing glazing work on active construction sites where Centra supplies—but does not install—our premium windows. You’ll be called in for sealed unit replacements, resealing, and other precision glazing tasks on large multifamily developments.

This is not a shop or fabrication role—you’ll be on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding, navigating muddy or snowy sites, and building safe, site-specific plans to get the job done. It’s hands-on, physical work that requires real glazing skill, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to stay professional and focused in unpredictable conditions.

Core Accountabilities

• Field Glazing Execution – Complete sealed unit replacements and field glazing repairs with a high level of craftsmanship, safety, and attention to site conditions.
• Worksite Planning – Assess each situation, build a safe plan, and execute the work without cutting corners. It’s not one-size-fits-all.
• On-Site Professionalism – Represent Centra with clear communication and respect for site supervisors, trades, and contractors.
• Technical Accuracy – Inspect and verify alignment, sealing, and performance before and after glazing. Deliver clean, durable results that meet our standards.
• Safety First – Handle glass properly and work safely on ladders, lifts, or scaffolding. Follow all PPE and site-specific protocols.
• Team Collaboration – Communicate clearly with the Service Manager and Lead Techs to coordinate material needs and site access. Provide feedback on recurring issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven field glazing experience—you’ve worked directly in construction environments installing or repairing windows on-site (not just cutting glass in the shop).
• Strong working knowledge of residential construction sites—you understand what it takes to work around trades, manage site conditions, and stay safe.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting, ladders, and navigating muddy, uneven, or cold job sites.
• A methodical problem-solver—you don’t just jump in, you assess, build a safe approach, and then execute.
• Respectful, professional, and reliable—you show up ready, work clean, and represent the Centra brand well on every job.
• Capable of accurate documentation—you record your work and flag product or install issues that need attention.
