About the Role:

As a Window Estimator at Centra, you’ll be responsible for crafting accurate, competitive project bids for high-performance windows and doors. From analyzing technical drawings to preparing final proposals, your work will directly contribute to Centra’s success and reputation for excellence. Reporting to the Pre-Construction & Estimating Manager, you’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management to deliver bids that meet customer requirements, comply with building codes, and align with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating & Proposal Development: Prepare detailed take-offs, cost estimates, and quotes using software like Window Maker, AutoCAD, and Excel. Deliver tailored proposal letters for customer review.
• Technical Analysis: Review project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and company standards. Conduct risk assessments and adjust estimates as required.
• Collaboration: Partner with sales, engineering, and project management to ensure bids meet customer expectations and align with project goals.
• Process Improvement: Maintain meticulous documentation, identify opportunities to enhance estimating processes, and support team growth through mentorship.
• Self-Sufficiency: Act as the central point of contact for estimating queries, confidently managing tasks independently and minimizing reliance on the team.

Qualifications:

• Education: Certificate or degree in Estimating, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an estimating role, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and estimating software.
• Basic understanding of building codes (essential).
• Additional Skills:
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and data.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
